Protect / Lock your saved password in Mozilla FireFox

We save our User Name and Password to our internet browser. Now a days the number one internet browser is Mozilla Firefox. We can save our password in Mozilla Firefox too. But in shared computer it is risky. So I’m going to tell you how you can lock your saved password with a master password. To do this you need to follow some steps-

Open Mozilla Firefox > Tools > Option > Click Security Tab > Check a Tick in Use a master password > You will see a new window ‘Change master password’ > Type your password there > Click Ok > When msgbox ‘Password change succeed’ will show Click Ok > Click Ok > Finish.

Remove a Password from a User Account (Computer)

To remove a password from a User Account you need to follow these steps:

Click Start button > Click Control Panel > Click User Accounts > Select an Account > Click Remove the Password.

If you are Computers Administrator and want to delete other accounts password you need not enter Old password. But if you want to delete your own password you need to enter your old password, then click Remove Password button.

Finish.

Add a Password to a User Account (Computer)

To add a password in your User Account you need to follow these steps:

Click Start button > Click Control Panel > Click User Accounts > Select an Account > Click Create a Password > Now fill up the 3 field > Click Create Password.

Lock your files without install any software

It’s very easy to lock your files without installing any software. You need to follow my tips-

=>     Select files or folders > Click right mouse button > Select Send To > Select Compressed Zipped Folder > Select Yes > Wait (depending your file size).

Now you can find your selected files or folders in a new zipped folder. Now you can delete your previously selected files or folders (which you selected to lock earlier). You don’t loss your files or folders because you will find your files or folders in your new zipped folder. If you want to be sure, just double click on the new zipped folder. Now you will see a copy of your files and folders in the zipped folder which you selected to lock.

=>     Double click on the new zipped folder > Click File menu > Click Add a password > Type password > Click Ok > Wait (depending your file size).

You have locked your files. When you try to open a file you need to provide your Password.
