How to change Pen Drive / Hard Disk / Folder Background, Show your picture as folder background


We always want to customize our PC. So, now I’m going to tell you how you can change Pen Drive / Hard Disk / Folder Background. Just follow some steps.
Open Notepad (Start Button > All Programs > Accessories > Notepad).
Now type(you can also copy from here)-

[{BE098140-A513-11D0-A3A4-00C04FD706EC}]
ICONAREA_IMAGE=nur.jpg
ICONAREA_TEXT=255

[2nd line indicates your picture and 3rd line indicates label colour. 255=Red you can delete 3rd line for black label.]
Now click File > Save as.
File Name: desktop.ini
Save as type: All Files
Encoding: Ansi

Choose where you want to save the file.
Then click Save button.

Then you need an image file (e.g. jpeg, jpg, bitmap etc), rename the image (name- nur.jpg).

Now copy the two files in your Pen Drive / Hard Disk / Folder.
Press F5 or refresh screen.
Now your Pen Drive / Hard Disk background is changed.

If your folder background doesn’t change, restart your pc or change folder icon, then you can change again default icon later.

Change Pen Drive Icon


We always like to customize our PC. Pen Drive is an external hardware. Now I’m going to tell you how you can change your Pen Drive Icon.

Step 1: Open Notepad and write the following text-

[autorun]
ICON=AUTORUN.ICO

Save it as autorun.inf file.

Step 2: Open an image in Paint (Click Start Button > Programs > Accessories > Paint). Image resolution must be 100*100 or bellow. Then save it as AUTORUN.ico file.

Step 3: Finish. Now paste these two files in to your Pen Drive (Open Pen Drive and paste).

Now remove your Pen Drive and Plug in again. You will see that your Pen Drive’s icon becomes change.

Noted That: Some Antivirus show autorun.inf as a virus. But your autorun.inf file contains no virus.
